Genius Hour

1.My favorite part  about the topic i choose was that it taught me more things about nails and now i know how to take care of them more.
2.The least favorite part about this was that its really messy with the nail polish when you first try to do something new ,like doing marble nails.
3.What i liked best about genius hour was that i had time to research something that i liked and choose.
4.What i liked least about genius hour was that i didnt always have something new to learn because i already knew alot about my topic.
5.I learned that in learning i am more visual.

How to do Marble nails

Today my friend taught me how to do marble nails and i wrote down some steps so you can do this at home :)

You will need
-a dish (that you dont use anymore)fill it up with warm water!
-nail polish
-toothpicks
-nail polish remover,cotton pads/swabs
-moisturiser
Step1:fill up the dish bowl with warm water and open all your nail polishes up.
Step 2: paint your nails with a base coat and apply moisturiser on your skin to take the nail polish off easier.
Step3:open your polish and with the brush hold it above the water and  let the nail polish drip to form a thin film.
Step4:get a toothpick and gently create whatever pattern you want.
Step5:place your nail into the water but gently then take it out and with a cotton swab remove the nail polish on your skin and repeat this for all your fingers .

HOW TO DO A MANICURE

Today i went with my friend to the nail salon , I couldnt do my nails because I play an instrument and its hard to play with long nails or fake nails.
Today I observed and asked questions on how to do it.
Ingridients you will need
•nail-polish remover,cotton swabs,nail clippers,2 types of nail polish(base coat) , (nail polish) and top coat.

-remove previously nail polish
-shape your nails (optional) and clipp them
-soak your nails in a bowl of warm water with soap.
-apply callouse or cuticle remover and  remove them.
-moisturize hands with cream or silky oil.
-choose your nail polish.
   You will apply the base coat and 2 coats of the nail polish you chose and finish with a clear top coat.

I found out that nail polish remover is really good for your nails,it will make them stronger so that they wont break easily.
The best way to get a manicure is starting by expholiating them and taking nail polish off ,if you preffer you can put your finger tips in a bowl with hot water and soap so that your nails will get cleaner and get expholiated better.

So far,i've just been looking at ideas of nail art and i havent had a chance to do someones nails or practice but i have experience on painting nails .I need to know how to do  figures on them.I will be going to the nail salon sometime during this month and i will be observing how they do manicures.
